When Jackson died in 2009, he had fought against multiple allegations of child s-xual ab-se for over 15 years. Leaving Neverland details the separate accounts of two men, now in their 30s, who say the celebrity began long-running relationships with them when they were just 7 and 10 years old.
The four-hour documentary describes in detail how Jackson allegedly :stop: manipulated those around him to gain access to young boys. Stories within the film include the star’s secret system of bells to warn of approaching adults; a mock wedding ceremony with a child and studded diamond ring; a series of slumber parties that turned into intimacy; and unaware parents who were ecstatic to be guests at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
However, some people fimd the debate about truth is never pointless. The Jackson documentary makes very serious allegations. Those making them previously said the complete opposite & are now suing his estate for 100s of millions. The allegations should be properly challenged/investigated. Truth matters. Here are some thoughts on the King of Pop from social media users:
Christian Jarrett @Psych_Writer: “He groomed an entire culture”, except for the LAPD, the FBI, the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Dept – all of whom did all they could to bring him down – oh and pretty much the entire world’s media who lapped up & believed each new salacious allegation. But apart from that.
Michael Williams @mwilliamswrite: I have never seen such a large number of imbeciles in my life. The FBI conducted a 13 year investigation on Michael Jackson and found nothing. Not the NYPD and not the LAPD. These people found Saddam Hussein in a hole for Christ’s sake. The man is innocent.
Pez Jax @Pezjax: Now remember folks, “this isn’t about money” according to Dan Reed – But, if you’d like to get a copy of his paedo-fantasy film on DVD, so you can watch it again & again (because there’s clearly something wrong with you) it’s on Amazon – But remember, “this isn’t about money”.
Gabriel Torrelles @gabetorrelles: from a storytelling standpoint #LeavingNeverland is a very bad documentary. I’m up to listen the stories of survivors of any abuse. I’m on their side always, but this being about the greatest megastar in the world and a dead person, I expected a lot more of facts and research.
Destanie Weatherford @DestanieWeather: There’s video of #MichaelJackson being visibly uncomfortable with someone touching his hair. @wingheart has said it was a very sensitive subject for him. But we’re supposed to believe Wade saying Mike wanted him to touch his hair and then be racist saying it felt like Brillo GTFO
