Johnny Depp has donated the entire $1 million settlement from his lawsuit with Amber Heard to 5 different charities.

After a year since the noisy Hollywood lawsuit between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp took place, the actor received a $1 million settlement from his ex-wife. According to sources from People, Johnny Depp has decided to donate all of this money to charity organizations.

Specifically, Johnny Depp divided this settlement money among 5 different charities. Each organization will receive a donation worth $200,000. These organizations include: Make-A-Film Foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Tetiaroa Society, and Amazonia Fund Alliance.

Previously, the 60-year-old actor also announced that he would donate all the money he received from Amber Heard and not keep a penny. The lawsuit against the actress is an action to regain his honor after being called an abusive person, not an action to “extort money” from his ex-wife.

This is the settlement money after both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard filed an appeal following the court’s verdict. Both agreed to make a new agreement, in which Amber Heard would pay her ex-husband $1 million instead of the original $10.5 million. At that time, the Aquaman star affirmed that this was a difficult decision but not an “act of concession”.

At the present time, 1 year after the lawsuit took place, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard both have a new life. While the Pirates of the Caribbean star was busy with her movie project and tour around Europe, Amber Heard decided to move to Madrid, Spain, away from the scrutiny of Hollywood.
