Dwight Howard jokingly sang to Lakers owner Jeanie Buss on his podcast, asking her for another chance to play for the Lakers.

Dwight Howard was one of the instrumental pieces in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2020 championship run.

Many expected the Lakers to keep their core after that season but Howard never returned to the squad.

On his podcast, Howard had a discussion with Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, joking if he could come back to the Lakers.

“Jeanie, give me one more chance,” Howard sang in jest.

Howard admitted on the episode that he was hurt that the Lakers didn’t bring him back.

Buss, though, confirmed that they offered Howard an offer during that time and suggested that miscommunication must have been the reason for their parting of ways.

“I was sad. I wanted to come back. And I don’t know what had happened. What I was told was that you guys didn’t have an offer for me,” Howard said.

“I was hurt because I felt like the team that we had was gonna be back together again. I thought that I had did something wrong. And JaVale [McGee] as well. I wish we would have had the chance to run it back.”

Howard averaged 7.5 points and 7.3 rebounds during the 2019-20 season with the Lakers.
