Gordon Ramsay shocks fans with surprise Melbourne restaurant visit – as he arrives in Australia to film new cooking series
Gordon Ramsay, has taken Melbourne by storm as he prepares to film his latest show, Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, for Channel 9.
The renowned chef has been spotted surprising patrons at various restaurants around the city, leaving fans in awe of his unexpected presence.
‘Tonight ended with a bit of celebrity stalking and a yummy dinner at Nobu’, the delighted fan wrote alongside a photo with Ramsay that was shared to Instagram.
The show is scheduled to start filming with a live audience on Friday, with shooting dates listed from April 14th to May 9th.
This means the fiery chef will be gracing Australia with his culinary genius for nearly a month.

During his time in Australia, the celebrity chef will also be taking over Aussie chef Matt Moran’s fine diner Aria in the heart of Sydney from May 8-10 and will showcase the ‘very best of Australian seasonal produce’.
Despite the cost of living crisis hanging over Australia, top chef Gordon is bringing his three Michelin-starred restaurant Down Under for nearly $800 per person.
Tickets to the unique experience will set you back $495 per person, which includes a seven-course menu, with an option of premium wine pairing for $295 – bringing the total to $790 each.
A spokesperson from Aria told Daily Mail Australia the staggering price is set because this is the first time the high-end restaurant has ventured internationally and the menu has been personally curated by Ramsay and Moran.
The Australian version of ‘Food Stars’ comes shortly after one of Ramsay’s UK shows, ‘Next Level Chef,’ was cancelled by ITV after just one season.
But that hasn’t stopped the unstoppable chef from bouncing back and bringing his unique brand of expertise and entertainment down under.
With Ramsay’s penchant for drama and his unrivalled culinary prowess, Melbourne locals can expect an unforgettable month of surprises, gourmet delights, and a healthy dose of his signature sass.

Ramsay’s trip to shoot the Channel Nine series is likely to be a ‘whirlwind’, reports The Herald Sun.
He launched the new series last year, which sees 12 entrepreneurs compete for a GBP £150,000 (AUD $261,474) investment of the restaurateur’s own money to start a food business.
Australian business guru Janine Allis will join Ramsay on the Aussie leg of the show as a mentor to the teams.
It comes after Lord Sugar blasted Ramsay accusing the TV chef of ‘ripping off’ The Apprentice with his show Future Food Stars.
The tycoon, 75, told MailOnline that Gordon should ‘stick to his day job’.
He insists the format of Gordon’s show that returns to BBC One with a second series later this year is a ‘virtual rip-off’ of The Apprentice and says he doesn’t understand how lawyers allowed it to go ahead.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Lord Sugar said: ‘I think broadcasters, Channel 4, Channel 5, and ITV have tried for many years at least for 17 years to try and replicate the elimination process of The Apprentice. I say this with great respect to them but they’ve failed.
‘Last year, Gordon Ramsay had some cockamamie idea… I like Gordon and I think he’s very good and should stick to what he should do, cooking and all that stuff’.
Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars aired for the first time in 2022 on BBC One and the second series will begin later this year.
