Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark couldn’t hold back her frustration during Wednesday’s game against the Dallas Wings and ended up startling an arena staff member.

During a break in the contest, Clark was seen heading to the bench looking visibly upset–possibly due to a turnover that she just committed, as the broadcast suggested. Surprisingly, however, the Fever rookie was unable to contain her emotions and proceeded to slam a water battle to the ground.

The moment was captured on camera, with a Wings arena staff member also caught in the middle of it. The said staffer was handing out towels before Clark threw the bottle near her, scaring her a bit.

Caitlin Clark is a fierce competitor who always demands perfection from herself. With that said, it’s not a surprise why she’s disappointed and unable to control her emotions during that moment.

The Fever All-Star finished the showdown with 24 points and 19 assists, setting a new record for the most dimes in a single game in WNBA history. She surpassed Courtney Vandersloot’s mark of 18 assists set in 2020.

Despite her record-breaking night, the Fever still lost 101-93. It was an overall heartbreaking night for Indiana, as it dampened what would have otherwise been a celebratory occasion for Clark.

Clark will now prepare for the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday before taking a much-needed break. Hopefully, the near month-long rest will help the sharpshooter and her team bounce back when play resumes in August.
