John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay all said goodbye to the reality show, which regularly swaps out who sits in the red chairs.

And that’s a wrap on the 25th season of The Voice.

In the second part of the live finale, Team Reba McEntire’s contestant Asher HaVon was announced as the winner. HaVon’s final solo performance was a sweeping version of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” on Monday night’s show, as the contestants all performed duets with their coaches on Tuesday.

In addition to HaVon, the finalists included Karen Waldrup (Team Dan + Shay), fifth place; soul singer Nathan Chester (Team John Legend), fourth place; Bryan Olesen (Team John Legend), third place; and Josh Sanders, who also repped Team McEntire, came in second.

HaVon was praised by the judges for Monday night’s songs, with Legend declaring that he had the best voice in the competition this go round. His mentor, McEntire, had previously told him that he deserved to win the reality competition. HaVon noted that he had not sung in two-and-a-half years before he performed Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” in the auditions for the show, when the native of Selma, Alabama, turned three chairs.

Coaches who’ve worked on The Voice in previous seasons appeared by video to mark the show’s big anniversary. Audiences caught a glimpse of Blake Shelton and wife Gwen Stefani; Kelly Clarkson; CeeLo Green; Niall Horan; Jennifer Hudson; Nick Jonas; and Adam Levine.

When it came to guest performances, as usual, the final show had some good ones, from The Black Keys, Jelly Roll, Kate Hudson, Lainey Wilson, Muni Long, Thomas Rhett, and season 23 winner Gina Miles.

In an entertaining moment, coaches Legend and Chance had a fun dance-off, with moves from more than just the last quarter century.

A more emotional surprise: McEntire presented Wilson with an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry, leaving Wilson in tears.

As usual, the finale episode marks the start of a break for the rotating panel of judges. This time around, Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay are leaving their chairs behind. Only the champion of the season, McEntire, will remain and be joined by veteran judge Stefani and newbies Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé when the show returns in the fall.
