All is not well for Alexander Zverev. After three failed attempts, he entered Paris’s finals but couldn’t make his mark on the Philippe Chatrier Court yesterday. As the German had to accept his defeat against Alcaraz on his favorite surface, he excited his fans by sharing how desperately he wanted to find solace in his special someone’s arms.
Alexander Zverev revealed his plans after suffering from a massive heartbreak in the Philippe Chatrier Court. “we’ll see I mean I’ll probably I have a thing with flow back tomorrow in Switzerland that I’ll go to and then I’ll probably fly to Berlin coz I have you know a very important person that I want to see there which I always do after tournaments and then we’ll see”- said Zverev in a press conference post-match.
This German ATP star lost the French Open 2024 trophy to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz Garfia yesterday. In an astonishing match, Alcaraz took over his German opponent by 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1 and 6-2. Now Zverev was really looking forward to making history in the Paris finals yesterday. Previously he entered the Roland Garros semifinals thrice but couldn’t enter the finals but this time.
However, luck didn’t permit this world’s number four ATP star. However, keeping his heartbreak aside, Zverev revealed to meet one of his life’s most important persons in Berlin. Since the German didn’t mention who the person is, fans speculate that it can be either Zverev’s mother or his TV presenter girlfriend Sophia Thomolla.
During Zverev’s French Open participation, Thomolla was in Thailand due to some work commitments. However, she didn’t leave a stone unturned to catch up with her boyfriend’s victory during the French Grand Slam tournament rounds. However, Thomolla’s latest Instagram posts showed that she is back in Germany for the upcoming season of a reality show Are You the One?
On the other hand, Zverev’s mother Irina Zverev has also been one of the German ATP star’s biggest support. She along with her husband coached Zverev at a young age. Therefore, fans are speculating that Zverev might also meet his mother post-loss in Paris. After all, it is the family that one needs during their challenging times.
However, keeping the rumors aside, Zverev revealed that he is eager to meet his daughter Myla, who was born to Zverev’s ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea in 2020. A reliable Zverev fan shared this information on the X platform and wrote- “Sasch withdraw to Boss Open next week and travel Berlin to see Mayla! Well I will miss him ofc but he needs a good recovery after Rg(me too he he) and I love the idea that he will enjoy time with her :)”
Previously this German ATP star said- “Even though Brenda and I are no longer together, we have a good relationship, and I will live up to my responsibility as a father. Together we will take care of the little person that is about to grow,” After that, fans knew that Zverev would make sure he stays closer to his daughter and give her a beautiful upbringing with his former partner.
Despite bagging the title in Rome, Zverev couldn’t stand against his Spanish opponent in the Roland Garros finals. While this defeat disheartened the German ATP star, Zverev not only wished Alcaraz but left almost a promise for his fans for the next year.
Alexander Zverev says he will “be back next year” after accepting his defeat in Paris finals yesterday
Zverev represented an optimistic point of view after losing the finals to Carlos Alcaraz Garfia. Despite his heartbreak, he didn’t forget to congratulate his Spanish opponent. “Congratulations Carlos (Alcaraz). Winning three different slams on three different courts at 21 years old is amazing. You are already a hall of famer and this is not going to be your final trophy at this court,”- said Zverev.
While his fans were disappointed with the result, they got charged when Zverev concluded his statement by saying- “The atmosphere has been amazing and this is one of my favourite courts on the tour and I’ll be back next year.” After this, Zverev’s fans felt motivated to see this ATP star return to his favorite surface and show his skills next year.
Nevertheless, Alexander Zverev’s statements reveal that his heartbreak can only be cured by his life’s special person. Zverev also proved that only a child can amend such heartbreaks for their parents. However, because of how Zverev has cared for himself for the last few years, fans know he will return soon and surprise the fraternity with more titles in his bag.
