The first week of the French Open has been extremely successful so far, with many upsets and entertaining matches. However, with the matches came the involvement of the fans. While there has been some healthy support, there have also been some disrespectful actions from some fans.

A few days ago, David Goffin experienced similar behavior from the fans as one of them spat chewing gum in his direction. Goffin then took a stand for himself, reacting to the disrespect shown to him. After that, WTA No.1 Iga Swiatek also faced a lot of noise during the points, which she addressed during the post-match interview.

Understandably, Novak Djokovic was asked to give his views on the Goffin issue. Having been on the bad side of the crowd very often, Djokovic related to the Belgian and spoke about how it’s a part of the sport and what they do.

I have experienced quite a few times those particular situations. So I support a player standing up against people who are disrespecting and heckling him. It's not always possible to tolerate. Of course, it's very much needed because you don't want to be spending unnecessary energy elsewhere.

Novak Djokovic finds a little momentum heading into third round of the French Open

Serbian pro-Novak Djokovic seemed to have found his mojo just in time and won two rounds without any lost shots or sets. Although in the first match against Pierre-Hugues Herbert, the Serbian let the second set go a little too far, but other than that, he has been on point with his games.

Despite this, Djokovic still has low expectations for the Grand Slam. He hopes to deliver his best performance and win, but with his belief, he looks to have a good run.

I haven’t had too many wins coming into Roland Garros. I had to lower my expectations. I always believe in myself and capabilities. I know what I’m capable of doing. I’ve done it many times in my career.
