Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and more are on a break. Here’s when they’ll be back at the Hot Topics table.

The ladies of The View are due for a well-deserved vacation after grappling with everything from Joe Biden’s disastrous performance in the presidential debate and a plague of flies, to, of course, lightsaber attacks on Whoopi Goldberg.
Goldberg, the show’s Oscar-winning moderator, and her cohosts — including Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin — are on a week-long break from the Hot Topics table. Beginning with Monday’s episode, The View will air repeat broadcasts until July 8, when the cohosts are due back at their posts.
This week’s episodes include previously aired interviews with Jeff Daniels (July 1); Tiffany Haddish (July 2); George Stephanopoulos and Robert De Niro (July 3, in an encore of De Niro’s profanity-laden interview from earlier this year); Charlamagne Tha God (July 4); and First Lady Jill Biden and John Grisham (July 5).

When The View returns, new episodes are set to welcome guests like Jenn Tran and Governor Gretchen Whitmer (July 9), Michael Douglas (July 10), and Naturi Naughton (July 11).
In January, producer Brian Teta comically denied the cohosts’ on-air request for an impromptu, mid-season vacation to enjoy time on a week-long cruise. There’s no word yet on if the current summer vacation will include Behar careening down a giant waterslide in Baha Mar or calling an Italian woman a bitch on a European train.
Year to date, The View is the nation’s most-watched daytime talk show, ranking No. 1 in total households and viewers among all daytime network and syndicated talk shows, according to a press release.
The View returns weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.

In late June 2024, a post on the Facebook page SpaceXMania claimed that "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg sued Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., for $10 million. "Maybe because she don't deserve respect and she is toxic," one Facebook user commented, "bottom line if you want respect respect others, as far as being toxic wen the members of your staff don't respect you and think your toxic is because you brought that upon yourself."
"Truth must hurt everyone you talk about should sue you," another user added.

Breaking: Whoopi Goldberg Files a $10 Million Lawsuit Against Tim Scott, 'He Called Me Toxic'
In an unfolding drama that captures the intersection of celebrity, politics, and personal reputation, Whoopi Goldberg, the acclaimed actress and co-host of "The View," has launched a $10 million lawsuit against Senator Tim Scott. The lawsuit stems from a contentious episode where Scott allegedly branded Goldberg as "toxic," a remark that has since spiraled into a significant legal and public relations battle.
Whoopi Goldberg, a figure synonymous with outspoken opinions and a no-holds-barred approach to social and political issues, has long been a staple on American television. Her career, which spans decades in both film and television, has not only earned her numerous accolades but also a platform that she has consistently used to advocate for various causes and viewpoints. It's within this context that the alleged comment by Senator Tim Scott, a leading Republican figure known for his conservative stance on many issues, has struck a chord.

It's not the first time we've fact-checked a Goldberg-related rumor. In June 2024, we looked at social media posts claiming Goldberg had made "The View" the lowest-rated show in television history. Moreover, in April 2024, we debunked the false claim that Elon Musk fired the "entire cast" of "The View" after acquiring the ABC TV network.
The Milwaukee Bucks are working on improving their roster for the 2024-25 NBA season. Earlier today, it was announced that the team had agreed to a one-year veteran minimum contract with former Los Angeles Lakers forward Taurean Prince. This recent signing helps improve Milwaukee’s bench, as Prince averaged 8.9 points and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 39% from three off of Darvin Ham’s bench.

There are, however, several more roster spots to fill. While the Bucks have already signed former Miami Heat guard Delon Wright and Detroit Pistons forward Stanley Umude, they still have a way to go until they should be comfortable with the roster.
One of the things that they are focusing on their season is finding more versatile players that can defend multiple positions and shoot accurately from beyond the three-point line. With this in mind, it appears that they kicked the tires on an old Wisconsin Badgers star.

Former Badgers forward Sam Dekker is well-known to Wisconsin-based basketball fans. A star at Sheboygan Lutheran High School, he was one of the most popular in-state recruits but committed to Wisconsin as a junior.
While with the Badgers, Dekker played a huge role on the teams that appeared in back-to-back Final Fours. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the 18th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
After four seasons in the NBA spent with the Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Washington Wizards, Dekker spent two seasons overseas playing in Russia and Turkey. He then signed with the Toronto Raptors in 2021, but only appeared in one game and was cut before the season ended.
Dekker has spent the last few seasons playing for the London Lions, but a change in management of the club has his future there uncertain, despite the fact that he signed a contract extension.
According to Mike Lucas of The Cap Times, Dekker and his family are back in the United States for now, and he recently worked out with the Bucks, among other NBA teams: “Dekker returned to the United States in late May and has had NBA tryouts with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks.”

As mentioned, Dekker previously played for the Clippers early in his professional basketball career. Prior to the 2017-2018 season, Los Angeles acquired him in the trade that sent Chris Paul to Houston.
The head coach of the Clippers at the time was Doc Rivers, who is now the Bucks’ head coach. That season, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game.
