The Chicago Sky looked like one big, happy family on Monday, especially from the perspective of a recent shot of Chennedy Carter, Angel Reese, and coach Teresa Weatherspoon in practice.

The Sky, more so Carter, have been dominating headlines since Saturday following what many considered a cheap shot on Caitlin Clark.
The first game of the season between the Sky and the Indiana Fever was always going to produce some drama, as it was the first meeting between Reese and Clark in the pros. However, a moment between Carter and Clark was what sparked all the controversy.
Reese did feature somewhat as she was seen cheering her teammate on after she decked the former Iowa guard with a nasty body check before an inbound late in the third quarter of Saturday’s game, but Carter is the one trending.
Carter, Reese, and Weatherspoon were caught on camera engaging in a curious interaction on Monday. The former Bayou Barbie was shown holding on to the coach before Carter came in for a group hug of sorts.
“Certain folks can’t handle seeing this as it’s too humanizing/kind,” one fan wrote. “This is a Professional Sport and just like the NBA, the WNBA players are going to compete & sometimes get physical. Their sport calls for it. WNBA finally getting its due attention. Folks- Leave your hate at home.”
“You can tell they really love and ride for each other I love my girls down,” wrote another.
Chennedy Carter Has Refused To Back Down
Chennedy Carter also addressed her foul on Caitlin Clark this Monday after initially refusing to speak to reporters about it.
She claimed to have no regrets while insisting she would always compete and play hard.
The two teams are scheduled to clash again twice this month, with their second matchup set for June 16 and their third on June 23.
