The Milwaukee Bucks will have a selection in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft to go along with its 23rd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The lottery took place on Sunday afternoon and the Atlanta Hawks will be selecting first overall in the draft.

Atlanta has a lot of time to decide what to do with its selection and the Bucks will also have plenty of time to decide what to do with its two selections. General Manager Jon Horst will need to find youth for the future because they have an older roster.

The Milwaukee Bucks should not trade either of its picks in this year’s draft class and they need to keep them. They will look to trade some of its older players on the roster and maybe they can get youth from there. However along with the 23rd selection, who would they potentially select with its lone second-round pick?

Yahoo Sports Krysten Pick Has the Milwaukee Bucks Selecting Creighton Blue Jays Guard Trey Alexander 35th Overall in the 2024 NBA Draft

Yahoo Sports Krysten Pick Decided to create an NBA Mock Draft on Sunday after the NBA Draft lottery occurred. In the second round, she has the Bucks taking Trey Alexander, a guard from Creighton with the 35th overall selection.

She didn’t give an explanation as to why Milwaukee will select this All-Big East Guard in the 2024 NBA Draft. He is 6’5″ and weighs 185 lbs and was a junior this past season for the Creighton Blue Jays. Trey Alexander got the Blue Jays to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament this past season, but they lost to the Tennessee Volunteers.

In 35 games played this past season for Creighton, he averaged 17.6 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 4.7 APG, 0.4 BPG, and 1.1 SPG. Alexander shot 33.9% from three-point land and also shot 44.6% from the field. He also shot 82.4% from the free-throw line.

According to nbadraftroom.com, some of the scouting reports about Trey Alexander are as follows:

“Alexander is a solid and fundamentally sound lead guard with a good frame and an efficient game. He’s an excellent shooter when given space and hits a very high percentage from the line. At 6-4 he’s got the size you look for in a lead guard. He’s a very stout defender and can hold his own against 1’s and 2’s. Alexander plays more of a slow-paced game, making good decisions. He lacks blow-by speed and will likely struggle getting by NBA defenders.”

The Milwaukee Bucks would be a very good fit for Trey Alexander because they play more in the half-court under head coach Doc Rivers. Alexander has not been mocked for going anywhere in the first round, but he will not go undrafted.
