The Dallas Mavericks are turning heads in the NBA playoffs. They went into the Western Conference Finals as underdogs against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Playing the first two games of the series in the Wolves den, Luka Doncic and the Mavericks left for home with a 2-0 series lead.

Doncic punched in a game-winning triple at the end of Game 2, right over Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert. He finished the game with 32 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds. His shot over Gobert was picture-perfect.

Dallas baited Gobert into a mismatch with seconds left in the game, guarding Doncic on an island. He put him in a blender and called the game, sending a message to Minnesota fans in the arena.

Following the matchup, Doncic spoke on the dagger. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal mentioned that Doncic had the DPOY on him, but Doncic wasn’t worried.

“I mean, he’s long enough. He can’t move. I can’t move fast, but I can move faster than him,” said Doncic on Inside the NBA.

The Mavericks will now head back home, two wins away from punching in their first Finals appearance since 2011.
