The eyes of the basketball world remain fully on Caitlin Clark. And she did not disappoint in a game against the Mystics.
Clark wound up tying the WNBA rookie record and setting the Fever rookie record with seven made 3-pointers. Her seven triples are tied with the Starzz’s Elena Baranova (July 22, 1997), the Comets’ Cynthia Cooper (July 25, 1997) and the Liberty’s Crystal Robinson (July 24, 1999).

In Indiana history, Clark topped the previous record of six drained by Tamika Catchings (July 3, 2002) and Julie Allemand (Sept. 8, 2020), according to Stathead.
By points, Clark tied her most prolific game as a pro, matching her 30-point effort on May 28 against the Sparks. She now has the two highest-scoring games by a rookie, as well as the fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth and 10th performances on the list.
It has been an eventful campaign for Clark. The Fever rookie sensation was at the center of the basketball world following Chennedy Carter’s hard foul on her during a matchup with the Sky. She was then the subject of controversial remarks from ESPN television host Pat McAfee.
The next day, Clark had her worst game as a pro against the Liberty and left the contest early with an ear injury, after scoring just three points in a game.
Sporting News tracked Clark’s stats and highlights from the Friday night matchup between the Fever and Mystics.
Caitlin Clark stats vs. Washington Mystics
Here’s a look at Clark’s stats from Friday night’s game:
Caitlin Clark highlights vs. Washington Mystics
Clark is more than just a star shooter. She showed off her impressive vision and passing ability early in the first quarter on a dish to Kelsey Mitchell leading to a transition layup.
But yes, Clark is also a star shooter. And she showed off that ability with another deep 3-pointer in the first quarter against Washington.
Clark knocked down her second 3 early in the second quarter, this time doing so while fading on the shot attempt.
The 3s kept raining down for Clark, particularly in the second half. She had only two in the first half but racked up five in the second half to help power the Fever to the win.
