Bronny James’ decision to enter the 2024 NBA Draft surprised a lot of people, especially after his subpar freshman campaign at USC.

Dark Horse Suitor For Bronny James Emerges Ahead Of 2024 NBA Draft

Nothing he has done at the NBA Draft Combine this past week has done much to change people’s perception of him as a player.

That said, for whatever reason, Bronny’s stock is seeing a massive uptick these days. As noted by ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst, one squad seems determined to draft Bronny.

But they aren’t alone.

According to Stephen A. Smith, the Los Angeles Lakers may face some competition when it comes to adding Bronny. Why? Because at least one other Western Conference squad appears to have interest in him as well.

“Bronny James might not make it to the Lakers’ second-round pick because of a team like the Dallas Mavericks could position themselves to get him in the second round,” Smith suggested.

“They’ll take him because LeBron said he wants to go where his son goes. If you’re the Dallas Mavericks and you’ve got Kyrie and you’ve got Luka (Doncic) and LeBron James is willing to come to Big D, that might be the first time something’s more popular than the Cowboys.”

Bronny has been brutally honest regarding whether or not he wants to play with his dad. Similarly, he has attempted to make the case that LeBron alone isn’t going to be the reason that he gets drafted.

At this point, though – it is hard to see how someone doesn’t take a flyer on Bronny strictly to add LeBron to the roster.

Where will Bronny and LeBron be playing come the start of next season? Time will tell.
