The highly anticipated final between Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek finally came to an end at the Italian Open. While many expected it to be a tight encounter between the two, the world’s number one star did the exact opposite and made the encounter pretty much one-sided. The final scoreline of the match ended 6-2, 6-3 in favor of the Polish player.

Soon after the match, while everyone was busy congratulating Iga Swiatek for her victory, Coco Gauff‘s fan army was busy trolling Aryna Sabalenka. Apparently, in the semi-finals, the Polish player defeated Gauff and then went ahead to defeat Sabalenka to clinch the title. Citing the scoreline of the final, one fan suggested that even Coco Gauff was able to win more games than Aryna Sabalenka actually did. While Gauff managed to win 7 games, Sabalenka just managed 5. “wait even coco won more games,” said the fan.

On the other hand, another fan, who couldn’t seem to agree more from this suggested that the semi-final played between the two stars was the real final that happened in the Italian Open. “The Coco-Iga semi was the real final IKTR,” said the fan in response to the original statement.

This fan joined the rest as he suggested that while many regard her as the best player in form at the moment, she could not manage to capitalize on the moment. “and they said danielle aryna and elena were in better form  coco said it right anybody else she woulda won,” said the fan.

Next, this fan chose to spit facts as he suggested during the Gauff-Swiatek semi-final, the American superstar was able to break her 3-0 but Aryna Sabalenka could not manage to do it. “So glad someone else sees. Coco, broke Iga almost 3/0. Sabalenka didn’t even break once. But folks with hate on coco for no reason. Looking forward to her doubles final on Sunday,” said the fan who wished Gauff the best for her match in the doubles finals.

Last, but not least, this fan also came ahead and suggested that Angelique Kerber and Coco Gauff were able to give Iga Swiatek a tougher fight than Aryna Sabalenka did in the finals. “Angelique Kerber and Coco Gauff put up more of a fight against Swiatek than Sabalenka is,” said the fan.

Thus, while Aryna Sabalenka lost, fans were not able to control their emotions as they suggested that Gauff was able to put up a better show than Sabalenka did in the finals. However, while fans found a way to troll Sabalenka, she found a way to troll her own team after her disappointing loss at the hands of Swiatek. While the whole army was trolling Aryna Sabalenka, she also found a cheeky moment and trolled her team after the loss.

After the loss, Aryna Sabalenka came ahead and talked about her performance during the match in the post-match conference. However, amidst the loss she took some moments to lighten the mood as she had a cheeky banter with her team. She thanked her team for letting her lose yet another final. “Of course last but not least I wanna thank my team for helping me lose another final,” said Sabalenka following her loss.
