Over the years, Caitlin Clark has shown how basketball isn’t the only sport that she is good at. Soccer and golf are two of the other sports that the young hooper enjoys with the former even coming as a first career choice. So, when the opportunity to play with one of her idols, who is good at both, knocks at her door, what does the Indiana Fever rookie have to say?

Talking about her childhood idol and soccer legend Mia Hamm, Caitlin Clark got giddy on the “little girl moment” as Debbie Antonelli reminded her of the time the two swapped jerseys. Then, Antonelli had given the Hawkeye star Hamm’s jersey. In return, the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer gave her the No. 22 practice t-shirt.

As the sports analyst offered Clark to play three-way golf with Hamm, she said, “I need to work on my game before that. I haven’t touched a club in about like six months. So, it could be scary. I need to get back on my grind. But now that I’m playing during the summer, it’s hard to get out on the course. But it’s okay. We’ll find some time to get ready.”

Although Antonelli did give Clark a pass on the practice, it looks like the 2x NPOY still wants to be on top of her gold game. The college basketball analyst also mentioned that Hamm has something for Clark that she will soon receive and that the two greats of their respective sports being in connection is a sign of great things. While the 2x FIFA Women’s World Cup winner could not attend any Fever game so far, another athlete of golf did.
