Simone Biles is fed up with this Olympics question: ‘Really gotta stop’

Simone Biles wants to put an end to a dreaded question for Olympic medalists.

Biles, who became the most decorated American gymnast of all-time at the Paris Olympics after capturing another gold on Saturday in the vault finals, took to social media to express her distaste for the question on “what’s next?”

“You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what’s next after they win a medal at the Olympics,” the 10-time Olympic medalist wrote on X.

“Let us soak up the moment we’ve worked our whole lives for.”

A fan proceeded to ask Biles what the next step is after winning her third gold medal of the Paris games.

“Babysitting the medal,” Biles responded.

The 27-year-old, who has rumors swirling of retirement around her, didn’t rule out an appearance in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

She scored a 15.3 across her two vaults on Saturday to pick up her seventh career gold medal.

Biles also added a gold in the team all-around final and the individual all-around final in Paris at Bercy Arena.

After the vault win, Biles is only the second woman to win two vault gold medals after Vera Caslavska of Czechoslovakia in 1964 and 1968.

Biles also increased her medal count at major international competitions to an impressive 40, which is the most by any gymnast.

She has two more chances to add to her growing medal count in Paris.

The balance beam and floor exercise finals are both on Monday at 6:38 a.m. ET and 8:23 a.m., respectively.
