Prince William sparks fan frenzy after ‘rocking it’ during England Euros celebrations

Royal fans were delighted with Prince William’s celebrations during England’s Euro 2024 quarter final.

Prince William caused an absolute fan frenzy with his reactions and celebrations after England beat Switzerland at the UEFA Euro 2024 quarter-final match on Saturday night.

The Prince of Wales appeared to be in a good mood as he beamed and greeted players in the stands, while he was spotted speaking to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin before the 5pm kick-off.

He was also pictured celebrating after Bukayo Saka who scored England’s first goal, before the Three Lions progressed to the Euro 2024 semi-finals after their dramatic win against Switzerland on penalties.

William, who is president of the Football Association, was seen jumping out of his seat and punching the air after England equalised in the 80th minute, around five minutes after Switzerland scored the first goal.

The game went to extra time after finishing 1-1 after 90 minutes, but England emerged victorious after a tense penalty shootout which saw them beat their opponents to reach the semi-finals.

After the game ended, William posted on his social media accounts, saying: “Nail biting to the very end. Well done @England! Semi-finals here we come! We believe. W.”

Royal fans were jubilant about the heir to the throne’s reactions during the game, and took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote on X: “Prince William [crown emoji] rocking it at tonight’s match.”

Another one said: “Prince William was at the England game too. Not a glory hunter – a proper fan who’s there during the tough slog games when victory is by no means certain. Top man.”

While a third one replied: “A proper fan for sure. All the emotions and passion for his country.”

A fourth one commented: “Prince William Enjoyed it too. #ComeonEngland #EURO2024.”

A fifth one opined: “Prince William celebrating is joyous.”

Lastly, a sixth one said: “Prince William is the good Luck charm.”

The Switzerland clash was Southgate’s 100th game in charge of the senior national team and his 24th match as England manager at a major tournament – nine more than anyone else in history.
