Prince William debuts rugged new look in a video with Kate Middleton

The Prince and Princess of Wales appeared alongside Snoop Dogg, David Beckham and more to congratulate Team Great Britain.

Some star-studded names congratulated Team Great Britain on their performance in the 2024 Olympics — including Catherine, the Princess of Wales.

Kate made an appearance alongside her husband Prince William in a video posted to their joint Instagram account, @princeandprincessofwales.

“From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB,” Kate said, wearing a black-and-white striped shirt.

“Well done on all you’ve achieved, you’ve been an inspiration to us all,” William added, as he sported a blue Adidas polo shirt, tanned skin and, in a change from his usual appearance, some facial hair.

Several other British celebrities congratulated the team, including former soccer star David Beckham, BBC presenter Greg James, Olympic gold medalist Kelly Holmes and several other stars.

“Well done @teamgb, what an incredible journey! Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud! Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @paris2024 and looking forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇,” the Prince and Princess of Wales captioned their post.

Other celebs also made an appearance in the video, which started and ended with Snoop Dogg, the rapper who became an icon while covering the Olympics for NBC in Paris.

“Thank you Great Britain, on behalf of big Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife,” he said, holding up peace signs before moving his hands into a prayer position.

Although the biggest surprise appearance of all may be William’s new scruffy look, which provoked reactions on the internet.

“Someone tell him not to take it off anymore,” one X user wrote.

“Loving the beard,” another wrote.

Kate has scaled down her public appearances since she announced in March she had been diagnosed with cancer. The diagnosis came after she underwent a major abdominal surgery in January.

“At the time, it was thought that my condition was noncancerous,” she said in a video posted in March. “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”

Neither Kate nor Kensington Palace have identified the type of cancer she was diagnosed with, but she said in March she was in the “early stages” of preventative chemotherapy.

The mother of three made her first public appearance since the cancer announcement at Trooping the Colour in June.

She released a statement the day before she was set to attend the annual parade celebrating the official birthday of the monarch, but clarified she was not yet returning to royal duties and that she still had a few months left of chemotherapy.

In July, Kate attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. When she arrived at the tennis tournament with her daughter Charlotte, she received a standing ovation as she settled into the Royal Box at Centre Court.
