Record producer Metro Boomin once again supported the Boston Celtics at his latest concert, paying tribute to the franchise’s superstar forward Jayson Tatum. Afterward, he shouted out Tatum and his co-star Jaylen Brown on social media.

Rapper Future and Metro Boomin continued their “We Trust You Tour” on Tuesday, traveling to Boston’s TD Garden. The stop marked the 10th of their 27-date North American tour.

Metro Boomin, an avid Celtics fan and St. Louis native, donned Tatum’s #0 Celtics jersey during the concert. The five-time NBA All-Star, who the producer reportedly once predicted would become the “face of the NBA,” also hails from St. Louis. Thus, he showed Boston love while paying tribute to his home city.

The following day, Metro Boomin took to X/Twitter, commending Boston for its support. Afterward, he tweeted a clip of him and Future performing, likening the duo to Tatum and Brown.

“Tatum and Brown in hip-hop form,” Metro Boomin said.

The producer later asked fans to “find a more fire duo.”

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are coming off a dominant season. After leading Boston to a league-best 64-18 regular-season record, they coasted to a 16-3 playoff mark en route to their first NBA title. The Celtics comfortably defeated the Dallas Mavericks 4-1 in this year’s NBA Finals, with the duo averaging a combined 43.0 points per game during the series.

While Brown secured finals MVP over Tatum, the latter later captured his second gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Thus, the duo has experienced immense success over the past few months.

Metro Boomin also traveled to Boston for this year’s NBA finals, attending the Celtics and Mavericks’ Game 2 matchup. He was one of several celebrities seen sitting courtside, along with NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Paul Pierce.

After Jayson Tatum and Co. held on for a 105-98 victory, the producer encouraged the squad on X/Twitter.

“Two down, two to go, Celtics!!” Metro Boomin said.

Metro Boomin has attended additional Celtics games in the past. That includes during the 2022 finals when they blew a 2-1 lead to the Golden State Warriors, losing the series 4-2.

However, things players out differently this year, as Boston won two of the next three games after the producer’s tweet. The franchise’s championship marked its record-breaking 18th and first since 2008.
