Meghan Markle’s ‘message’ to star as Hollywood network ‘falls apart’

Meghan Markle has used fashion to send a secret message to Beyonce, signalling that “they’re still friends”, according to a celebrity insider.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, was seen “specifically” donning a tracksuit from Beyonce’s Ivy Park brand while filming a new Netflix series in Beverly Hills Park last week.

It comes amid rumours that Meghan is making efforts to maintain her remaining high-profile friendships, as Hollywood’s elite are reportedly “distancing themselves” from Harry and Meghan.

A source revealed to Heat magazine: “Meghan was filming for her new Netflix series and specifically chose to wear Ivy Park to highlight her connection to Beyonce and send a message that they’re still friends.

“With practically every other famous friend distancing themselves from her and Harry, Meghan is understandably worried that their Hollywood network is falling apart, and Bey is the most well known of the few stars who will still associate with her,” reports the Express.

The Sussexes welcomed a host of A-list celebrities at their wedding in 2018, including the Beckhams, the Clooneys, and Idris Elba. However, the insider suggests Meghan now feels she needs Beyonce’s support to “save the Sussex brand”.

David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly chosen to side with Prince William and Princess Kate in the hopes of securing a knighthood for the ex-footballer.

In response to the dwindling number of celebrities in her circle, Meghan has reportedly intensified her efforts to maintain a close relationship with the iconic singer, according to the insider.

The source claimed that Meghan extended an invitation to Beyonce for a July 4 party despite having not communicated with her for several months. She also reached out to the singer’s production company, Parkwood Entertainment, regarding a potential new project.

Furthermore, the Duchess of Sussex is said to be making attempts to forge a friendship with Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s sister, and getting closer to Tyler Perry, a friend of the singer.

Beyonce and Meghan’s friendship began when the former congratulated the latter on social media after the announcement of her pregnancy with Archie. They met in person in 2019.

Following Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Single Ladies singer publicly commended her for her “courage and leadership”.

It seems Prince Harry is also contributing to these efforts, as the source alleged he has “reached out to Jay Z” about potentially collaborating with his charity foundation.

The insider stated: “In Meghan’s eyes, they need to ingratiate themselves with Bey and Jay in any way possible, and she’ll do whatever it takes to ensure she stays friends with one of the world’s most influential power couples.”
