Jon Bon Jovi’s Son Marries at ‘Perfect’ Farmhouse: Stunning Pics from the Five-Day Celebration & Garden Wedding
One of Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi’s sons married his beloved at a beautiful farmhouse. Breathtaking photos and intriguing details of the five-day celebration and the garden wedding have surfaced online.
After obtaining their wedding license and initially tying the knot in a Las Vegas chapel that held special significance for the couple, Jesse Bongiovi and Jesse Light had another wedding ceremony. Surrounded by friends and family, they said “I do” in a stunning garden ceremony on June 22 (2024) in Oxfordshire, England.
The married couple’s wedding was a celebration of a lifetime which took place at Soho Farmhouse—a location Jesse and her mom traveled to often.
“Since 2016, my mom and I have been doing an annual mother-daughter trip to the Farm. Upon our first arrival, it was immediately the most magical place we’d ever been,” Jesse divulged of her memory.
She went on to describe how gorgeous the place is, expressing how even the air has something special about it. “It is stunningly beautiful, you are surrounded by animals, there are endless activities,” Jesse shared.
Her husband felt the magic of Soho Farmhouse as well. “He immediately looked at me and said, ‘I get it. This place is perfect,'” Jesse recalled of her beau’s reaction to her taking him there for the first time.
“It became my dream wedding venue and I hoped one day I’d get married there,” the bride revealed. Lo and behold, her wish came true as all of their favorite people gathered on the property for their dream wedding.
As Jesse put it, “Soho Farmhouse was everything and more” that the couple could have asked for to celebrate their five-day wedding weekend.
From playing tennis, mini golf, horseback riding, and lounging by the pool during the day to partying hard and biking or walking home during the evening, guests had quite a lavishly fun experience.
Enlisting the services of Alison Events, Jesse and Jesse worked hard to plan the perfect wedding. Aesme Floral was the company the couple selected to provide the stunning floral arrangements that were seen throughout the venue.
Kicking things off with their family, Jesse and Jesse’s wedding festivities started with a nice family dinner on a Wednesday night (June 19). A summer solstice welcome party was then held the next day (Thursday, June 20).
On Friday, June 21, the duo hosted their rehearsal dinner before the main event (the wedding) took place on Saturday, June 22. Closing out the event, a goodbye brunch was held on Sunday, June 23.
While the five-day affair happened exactly how the couple envisioned, the bride was honest about how stressful planning had been at times.
“The planning process was wild, fun and nerve-wracking. There’s a lot of noise on social media, tons […] of opinions. Planning the ‘perfect wedding’ is very intimidating,” Jesse confessed.
However, she did not let her nerves get the best of her, drowned out external pressures, and focused on creating the wedding of her dreams.
“I didn’t want to go with the trends, but instead, create a never-ending, multi-day party that felt authentically us. We instead tried to add in little details of our love story throughout the weekend,” she divulged.
Such distinctive details included ensuring that their favorite food, like plain pasta with butter and parmesan and Surf Lodge’s famous chicken tender tower, made an appearance on the menu.
Other cuisines featured were jumbo prawns, corn with chermoula butter, spiced aubergine and courgette, grilled pineapple with coconut yogurt and red chili syrup, and bavette steak.
This delectable food was accompanied by custom beer created by the couple, which they enjoyed as they participated in the first annual Bongiovi-Light beer pong tournament. Jesse also described how they had a TV confessional—”green screen and all”—at their wedding, too.
This same attitude of being hands-on with the planning and wanting to have a celebration that was distinct and authentic carried over into the bride’s attire. Working with the iconic couture teams of Vivienne Westwood and Rosie in London, Jesse was able to bring her three dream dresses to life.
Before collaborating with the aforementioned fashion powerhouses, Jesse said she and her friends went to countless bridal appointments. However, nothing felt right until she tried on a Vivienne Westwood gown.
“Things just clicked. I didn’t need to look any further […] I wanted to start classic and timeless and get more me as the night went on. My favorite color is silver glitter and Vivienne Westwood nailed it,” Jesse disclosed of her wedding ensembles.
Jesse was in love with all three of her dresses. She boasted about the effortless transition from a classic wedding gown to the second dress she wore, which had crystals at the top of the corset and a little bit of silver glitter, and then finally, to a third silver crystal mini dress.
“It was a dress evolution for the ages!” exclaimed Jesse. She left no stone unturned when it came to her wardrobe for the wedding activities, too. However, that also came with its fair share of trial and error.
Nonetheless, her best friends, whom she dubbed her stylists, helped their beloved friend look fabulous as Jesse said their group chats were “on fire.” Much like the intention she had for her wedding gowns, Jesse wanted her weekend attire to feel uniquely her.
“Every outfit for each event needed its own personality. It was also very important to me to incorporate vintage, and I was able to work with Alexis at TAB Vintage. The vintage Dior is one of my favorite looks of all time. I love that it’s cloud print as I say our sweet angel Bella is in the clouds,” Jesse explained.
Bella, Jesse’s late pup who sadly passed away a few months before the wedding, was also honored in another special way. The bride fastened her dog tag around her wedding bouquet. “We without a doubt felt her spirit as the forecast said rain every single day, and we believe she brought us sunshine,” Bella’s mom mentioned.
Jesse also noted how Bella’s energy was radiating around the space for the entire wedding weekend. Adding another layer of sentimentality to her big day, Jesse wore her Grandma Selma’s wedding band on her right hand all weekend long.
She expressed how, like Bella, she wanted to have a piece of her grandmother with her throughout the festivities.
Other jewelry pieces she wore included beautiful pairs of earrings that were gifted to her by either her parents or the groom, who shined in custom Ralph Lauren ensembles each night.
Matching his wife’s chicness, Jesse sported a smart Ralph Lauren suit and custom Bode shirt that had his and his wife’s initials printed on the back for the Thursday summer solstice party.
When it came to the vibe of the five-day affair, Jesse and Jesse wanted all their guests to be present with them. They wanted their ceremony to feel as personal and intimate as possible. Thus, guests were not allowed to have their phones with them.
In keeping with the other theme of the event—family and loved ones—Jesse’s brother, Taylor, officiated her and her husband’s wedding. As they exchanged tearjerking vows, the couple’s guests sat in a U shape, surrounding them in a bubble of love and positive energy.
Speaking about where they tied the knot, Jesse swooned, “It was a magical, wildflower garden in the middle of a horse field under the blue sky of the English countryside.”
Holding eye contact for the entire ceremony, Jesse shared how she and her husband were “undeniably in love,” and taking in “this once-in-a-lifetime moment.”
Jesse and Jesse ended their nuptials with a tender kiss to Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You,” and began singing the words “I love you baby!” to each other.
After the main event, the bride and groom, along with their guests enjoyed the cocktail hour. Each person grabbed a napkin, that had their seat assignments on them, to twirl and wave around in celebration of the newlywed couple as they entered the party tent.
Following the enjoyment of the reception where dancing ensued, everyone went through a disco tunnel to have some more fun at the first after-party, called Club Light. After jamming to beats provided by Afrojack, the bride and groom treated their guests to late-night bites.
Far from being the end of the party, guests were led to a pub where they were surprised with the reveal of a 14-piece Ibiza Live Orchestra. Everyone danced the night away until the sun rose and then capped off the celebration by jumping in the pool at 6 a.m.
“Not wanting the day to end, we all enjoyed breakfast and finally went to bed at 9 a.m. only to wake up for our goodbye brunch at 11 a.m. Hangovers were strongly encouraged,” said the bride about the end of the festivities.
Jesse and Jesse Bongiovi could not be more ecstatic to start their life together as husband and wife. In the comment section of a post that Jesse had shared of her and her husband on their wedding day, her spouse excitedly reiterated, “That’s my wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WIFE WIFE WIFE WIFE WIFE WIFE WIFE.”
The happily married couple’s picturesque garden wedding comes just under a month after they initially tied the knot in a special place on May 7, after obtaining their marriage license on that same day.
The newlyweds said “I do” at a chapel in Las Vegas that holds sentimental significance, not only for them but for their family, specifically, Jon Bon Jovi and his beloved wife Dorothea Bongiovi.
This location—the Graceland Chapel—was the same venue where the groom’s parents eloped in 1989. What also makes the occasion extra special is the fact that Jesse nearly got married on the same day his father and mother did years ago.
Fast-forward to years later and Jon and Dorothea are still going strong. They have made it to over 30 years of marriage which the “Livin’ on a Prayer” rockstar credits to “a mutual admiration society, and being lucky enough to have grown up together.”
Though it hasn’t always been smooth sailing, Jon also highlighted Dorothea’s level of tolerance as another factor that allowed them to reach such a milestone.
Public reaction to Dorothea and Jon’s son’s joyous news flooded the comment sections of online platforms, with many congratulating the couple but also commenting on the fact that they have identical names. “That’s wild. Second couple I [heard] of got married now have the same name. Congratulations 🎉,” wrote an Instagrammer.
“All that’s missing is the best man named Jesse, the minister named Jesse, and everyone in attendance [named] Jesse,” quipped another. Someone else also shared a similar joke, playfully predicting, “Next the kids will be named Jesse and the pets too, the Jesses.”
“That’s gonna confuse the dmv lol,” commented a social media user. Another also pointed out the fact that sharing the same name might prove to be “challenging” for the duo. On the other hand, someone else thought it was “cute.”
Jesse and Jesse pledged their lifetime commitment to each other after initially connecting six years ago in 2018. They first met in Montauk, New York, at Surf Lodge. This is also where the rosé company owner asked the “Southern Hospitality” TV producer to marry him two years ago (2022).
When the identically named newlyweds first got engaged, both took to Instagram to post an array of endearing photos showcasing the enchanting moment. Pictures showed the pair as happy as can be in a picturesque setting outside.
Various images show Jesse and Jesse embracing, kissing, laughing, and exuding nothing but pure joy. A couple of snaps also showed off the new bride’s gorgeous diamond engagement ring.
“⚠️Time to BeReal⚠️,” captioned the businessman alongside his Instagram carousel of pictures. Accompanying Jesse’s Instagram post of their engagement, she shared a caption which read, “happily ever after.”
In the same way she shared images of her and Jesse’s engagement, the TV producer had also taken to Instagram to post photos from her bachelorette party weekend in the weeks leading up to their nuptials.
Photos showed her rocking a beautiful Gianni Versace Couture cream-colored mini dress that was covered in crystal embellishments. She paired the ensemble with a white veil, some heels, and light jewelry.
“can i hear a little commotion for the dress?” expressed Jesse in the caption she shared alongside photos showing her having fun in a party bus and dancing on a table.
