Jon Bon Jovi, whose real name is John Francis Bongiovi Jr., was born in 1962 in New Jersey (USA). The boy with romantic gray eyes has been playing guitar and piano since childhood. At the age of 13, Jon wrote his “first” songs and began playing in a band.

In 1983, Jon formed the band Bon Jovi with David Bryan (keyboards), Alec John Such (bass), Richie Sambora (guitar) and Tico Torres (drums). Like many rock bands of the time, Jon spent his rough youth in New Jersey, struggling financially and skeptically of his ability to succeed, before being recognized by the rest of the world.

Strength from faith

“Family is the most important thing for me. I can have everything in the world, but without my family, I will have nothing,” Jon affirmed.
