The 2024 Paris Olympics are approaching, and all the teams are getting ready in their training camps to perform their best in the games. Team USA, often seen as the most successful team in international competition, is prepared to dominate in the upcoming Paris Olympics. However, there has been a recent change in the lineup of the United States men’s national basketball team.

On Wednesday, USA Basketball announced that the Clippers’ star player, Kawhi Leonard, will not play for Team USA and will instead prepare for the next NBA season. It was later revealed that Boston Celtics guard Derrick White would replace Leonard and play for Team USA. One of White’s teammates seemed unhappy with the news and posted cryptic messages.

Celtics guard Jaylen Brown did not seem to be in the mood to celebrate the selection of his teammate.

After the news, Brown posted on his social media account on X (formerly known as Twitter), including three emojis of a face with magnifying glasses. Fans were confused after seeing that post and began to search for hints about its meaning.

A few hours later, Brown posted another message in which he tagged Nike and asked, “Is this what we are doing?” Nike is the team’s manufacturer and sponsor. Brown may be suggesting that the company used its influence to prevent him from joining the team.

Is Brown a More Deserving Candidate to Be on Team USA?

Brown played a pivotal role in the success of the Celtics in the recent season. The 27-year-old guard impressed everyone with consistent dominant performances throughout the season, which helped the Celtics secure their 18th Title. Brown’s outstanding skills led to him being named the Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP. According to StatMuse, the three-time NBA All-Star Brown averaged 23.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 19 games during the 2024 playoffs.

Brown recently made a comment about another teammate. He responded smartly to Jayson Tatum’s new look after the Boston Celtics shared his photo on Instagram.
