Amelia Vega and her husband Al Horford receive their spectacular new home in Boston.

The couple has been living on the property for about a month, which is ideal for raising their five children.

New year, new life… and that is the case of Amelia Vega and her husband Al Horford, who, along with their five children, are opening a spectacular residence in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. With this new change in their lives, this 2024 looks to be a great year for the couple and their beautiful children; Ean, Alía, Ava, Nova and little Mila.

In an interview, the Miss Universe 2003 shared with us a little about her family dynamics, her excitement for the new house, as well as her next plans at a professional and family level, because the big question is whether, after five beautiful children, they will look for a sixth little one.

How many times have you moved in these 12 years, since your marriage to NBA star Al Horford?
In Atlanta we had our first house, then in 2016 we moved to Boston, from Boston to Philadelphia, from Philadelphia to Oklahoma, from Oklahoma, we went back to Atlanta, now to a bigger house. We still have it, it has been like our base. After that, we moved here to Boston again and within Boston, we moved to another bigger house. So there are seven moves.

Does each child have their own room or how do you distribute them?
The reality is that the space is there, but they gravitate towards each other, and the girls like to be together even though they have their own rooms. They like to sleep together, except for Mila, who is still very young and has only slept her full and uninterrupted night for a few months.

What is the area of the house that you enjoy the most?
Look, we barely have a month in the new house and the spaces are not yet finished to tell you that I gravitate more in one than in the other.

But the living room has a peculiarity, that the windows are very high and a lot of sun enters, I am fascinated by natural light, I am a lover of good light in the house. When we came to visit it, in addition to the fact that we obviously need a lot of space, natural light was what won me over.

I see myself a lot there and in the office, which is where we have more light, but the truth is that this window allows me to enjoy the sun and also at night.

If we have a clear sky, I can appreciate the moon and the stars very well, because I have a special connection with the sky. It fascinates me, when I’m here in the house I tend to be in that area so I can look up.

Career plans and family goals

I know you’re about to release your new book, when will we have it?
Oh, yes! I’m super excited that the book project will also come to light very soon, in a few months. I was delayed with the move and with everything at the end of the year, with the holidays the production is a little delayed. But soon on my social networks I’m going to be announcing when I’ll have the book physically and when it’s going to be available, all the graphic part is ready, so it’s a matter of production.

Do you and Al want to have more children?
The million-dollar question (laughs). Definitely recovering from five cesarean sections, one after the other, is not easy at all. We love having a big family, but my focus at the moment is to recover my physique, also strength, not only from the surgery but from everything that it entails, and the process is long. So, not for now, but I can’t say never. Now I’m in recovery mode
