Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has a new fan in town, and it is none other than a member of the Jordan family. The WNBA continues to garner attention with the entry of rookies who made a name for themselves in the NCAA. After Caitlin Clark, it’s Angel Reese, who is the center of attraction for basketball buffs. After things did not go her way today, Michael Jordan‘s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, decided to share some positive words, to show her support for the 22-year-old. Looks like Reese is one step closer to her desire.

The Chicago Sky are 2-2 this season after they lost to the Connecticut Sun today. Despite Angel Reese scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, the Sky lost by four points, 82-86, to the Sun. Although Reese might not be proud of this performance from her, Juanita is still appreciative of the 22-year-old.

The Chicago Bulls legend’s ex-wife shared a picture of Reese on her Instagram, and added, “We’ll get the next one…“, shedding some positivity on the rookie. What’s to be noted with this story is that Reese shared a few weeks ago, “I’m telling you right now, I want Michael Jordan to come to a game. I’ve never met him. That’s why the first time I want him to come to a game.”

Despite a loss today, Reese has got the attention of Jordan’s ex-wife. Maybe, if the above words reach the 6x champion’s ears, her dream might come true. However, a thing of notice here is that Jordan’s presence has been recorded in several NBA games. But, what remains borderline shocking is that he has never attended WNBA games. At least, there have been no public sightings of the same. Only time will tell if he will grace the WNBA games and boost till popularity further.

Getting back to the rookie, there is definitely some Chicago blood running in Angel Reese. The competitive spirit, the trash-talking, etc. portrays her like she is a 10-year veteran in WNBA. There were dramatic scenes on the court today, where Reese brought out her MJ side.

Angel Reese appreciates the harsh treatment from a WNBA star, despite conceding a hard fall

During the third quarter of Sky vs Sun, Reese took a hard fall on the court after she was pushed by Alyssa Thomas, who went for a rebound. Reese’s head hit the ground, due to which Thomas was ejected from the game with a flagrant 2. Reese was in evident pain, but she continued to play the game till the end. She played a total of 33 minutes today and also stunned the media by sharing a few words on the hard foul.

Reese told in the presser, “They don’t give a damn if I’m a rookie…They’re not supposed to be nice to me …Thank you AT[Alyssa Thomas] for sending a message to me because I got back up and I kept going.” Hard fouls, physical plays, etc. nothing can stop Reese at the moment. Does this not remind you of Jordan against the Detroit Pistons’ Bad Boys?

The Bulls legend never complained, and that is something Reese looks up to. Juanita Jordan, who is a Chicago native, has keen eyes on Reese. Let’s see if Michael Jordan shifts attention towards the WNBA rookie any time soon.

The Bucks are adding Delon Wright in free agency.

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million minimum contract with Delon Wright, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wright, 32, was a player the Bucks pursued ahead of the trade deadline when he was still a member of the Washington Wizards. Ultimately, the team settled on a trade for Patrick Beverley, who was with the Philadelphia 76ers at the time, due to his smaller contract. The Wizards were seeking future second-round draft assets for Wright, who was on an expiring $8.2 million contract.

After failing to find a trade partner for the veteran point guard at the trade deadline, the Wizards ended up buying Wright out of his contract, paving the way for him to sign with the Miami Heat for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. There, Wright played in 14 games and averaged 5.4 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 36.7 percent from three-point range.

The Bucks will become the ninth different organization that Wright has played for since being drafted 20th overall in 2015. Although he may not be the most athletic or explosive guard in the league, Wright has always provided stability and leadership wherever he has been. With the Bucks, the well-traveled guard will be a reliable option for head coach Doc Rivers behind All-Star Damian Lillard on the team's depth chart.

A decision to sign Wright to a one-year contract likely signals that the Bucks will not be retaining Beverley, who is also a free agent this offseason. Beverley earned himself a four-game suspension after Milwaukee was eliminated from postseason contention after forcefully throwing a basketball multiple times at spectators and for his inappropriate interaction with a reporter during his postgame media availability.

Despite his defensive contributions, Beverley's antics and upcoming suspension have seemed to result in the Bucks looking elsewhere for production.

Throughout the entirety of his career, Wright has always been a steady contributor in the backcourt. In a total of 508 games with nine different organizations, Wright has averaged 7.0 points, 3.1 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game. There is never a lot of talk centered around Wright and his play, yet the veteran always seems to find himself making an impact on his team's chances of winning.

The Bucks are hopeful that Wright will be able to provide some much-needed depth in the backcourt alongside Lillard as they look to work their way back up to title-contention status.
