Movsar Evloev, the undefeated UFC featherweight, has not fought since he defeated Arnold Allen at UFC 297. The Ingush native had angled for a fight with Aljamain Sterling after the ‘Funkmaster’ bagged a unanimous decision victory over Calvin Kattar at UFC 300 on his featherweight debut.

Evloev recently angled for a fight with Diego Lopes at the Las Vegas Sphere at UFC 306, accusing Sterling of ducking. Lopes declined the suggestion, bashing the undefeated featherweight. The former bantamweight champion has also responded to Evloev.

Evloev Challenges Lopes, Sterling Accuses Him of Deception

After Lopes defeated Dan Ige at UFC 303, Evloev tweeted, “Hey @Diegolopesmma, I wanna give you a rematch at the Sphere because @funkmasterMMA is running for his life, and this time I’m gonna finish you.” Aljamain Sterling has now given a savage response to the 30-year-old.

“Either you’re a lying charlatan or you can’t read. Neither one is good mi bredda,” Sterling responded. Movsar Evloev had earlier accused Sterling of refusing to fight till October and even called him out for a fight on UFC 303, the International Fight Week PPV.

However, Sterling countered the argument, accusing the Russian fighter of ingenuity, tweeting, “I gave my timeline of September. He knew that weeks ago.” The Russian seemed to have acknowledged it as he tweeted, “I will see you in September! No more excuses, I’m not going anywhere.”

It seems like Sterling was right in his accusations of Evloev being a liar or illiterate. Nevertheless, the potential fight between the duo will be fun. Both have the style to counter each other. Therefore, fight fans might see a standup battle. Moreover, the winner will likely bag a title shot at featherweight, potentially against Ilia Topuria or Max Holloway.
