On Tuesday night, the Indiana Fever lost to the Los Angeles Sparks with a score of 82-88. However, Indiana’s sensational player Caitlin Clark achieved a career-high by scoring 30 points, along with six assists and 5 rebounds in her 34 minutes of game time. This was the Fever’s 7th loss of the season. The team has only won one game so far. This was a disappointing start for the team, but Clark has been trying her best to win games for the team.

In the game, Clark scored 13 points from the free throw line, 7 of 16 field goals, and 3 of 10 three-pointers. Aliyah Boston finished with 17 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell scored 15 points and provided 2 assists in her 29 minutes of play. However, Clark’s seven turnovers hindered the Fever’s efforts to stop the Sparks’ offense.

Kia Nurse, Sparks’ guard, responded with 22 points, including 5 of 6 three-pointers. Aari McDonald came off the bench for Los Angeles and scored 21 points, making three of her five three-point attempts. Cameron Brink finished with three points, three rebounds, and two blocks after a strong start to her WNBA career.

Clark had an aggressive mindset throughout the game

During a post-game interview, Clark revealed that she played aggressively, always seeking to shoot 3-pointers.

“Honestly, I think I just played with an aggressive mindset. I think that was the biggest thing; I just wanted to play downhill the best I could. I would have liked to have made a couple more threes … but I thought we did some good things and then we just kinda shoot ourselves in the foot.” Clark said.

Clark previously achieved a remarkable feat in just three games of her WNBA career. She became the fourth player to score 50+ points and make 15+ assists in her first three career games.
