There isn’t a tougher head coaching job in the WNBA than that with the Indiana Fever. Christie Sides may benefit from having a generational talent like Caitlin Clark, but with that comes the responsibility and urge to perform at a high level.

The Fever are far from performing to the best of their ability. They’re 0-5 on the season, notching a nail-biting loss to the Seattle Storm on Wednesday. Following the loss, there was one major trend on social media that had fans buzzing.

Sides and Indiana may want to turn their heads. The biggest trending hashtag in the WNBA is #FireSides. WNBA fans are over her experiment with Clark and believe it’s time for her to pack her bags.

She’s struggled in late-game situations and also has immense trouble finding comfortable lineups that work well on the floor with one another. Sides hasn’t been able to find a consistent lineup and she even has a player like Grace Berger, who was the No. 7 pick in the WNBA draft sitting the entire game.

Firing Sides may be a bit of an extreme, but the organization should certainly look into the topic.
